I inherited a vintage twin lens reflex film camera from my grandfather and my determination in teaching myself how to use it ignited my passion for photography. After graduating from a prestigious photography program, I began working as a commercial photographer's assistant and volunteered on behalf of a not-for-profit photography organization. My interest in capturing news and found moments led me to pursue a career as a photojournalist and I was lucky enough to have interned at a well-known daily newspaper. I am currently a full time photojournalist working on several, personal multimedia projects that allow me to document real life and the human spirit. My passion for photography has never waned and I still use that twin lens reflex film camera when I can.
